April

Easter is a time filled with delightful images of spring lambs, playful bunnies, and, of course, chocolate eggs. These symbols of the season bring a sense of joy and fun, creating a light-hearted atmosphere that many look forward to. The sight of lambs in the fields and bunnies hopping around can add to the charm, while the chocolate eggs offer a sweet treat to enjoy.

However, with Easter also falling during Stress Awareness Month, it’s a good reminder that holidays, while enjoyable, can also bring about stress. For many, the pressure to make everything perfect, whether it’s planning family gatherings or meeting work deadlines, can become overwhelming. The fun of the season—chocolate eggs, family time, and spring animals—can sometimes overshadow the challenges people face, including feelings of loneliness or the burden of responsibilities.

Stress Awareness Month encourages us to pay attention to the pressures we experience, whether during a holiday or any other time. While it's easy to get caught up in the celebrations it's just as important to acknowledge and manage stress. Taking time for yourself, whether that's reaching out for support, practising relaxation, or simply stepping back to breathe, can help you find a better balance.

This Easter, while you enjoy the lighter moments, remember to check in with your mental well-being and make space for care. Stress is something we all experience, but by recognising it and taking action, we can better manage it, even during the most joyful times.
