March

March brings a sense of renewal, with the clocks springing forward and the arrival of the Spring Equinox on the 20th. In the Celtic Calendar, this marks Ostara—a time when light triumphs over darkness, symbolising new beginnings and growth.

March is also host to International Women’s Day offering an opportunity to reflect on women’s progress towards gender equality and the challenges that remain.

In the UK, this day highlights the strength and resilience of women from all walks of life. It’s a reminder to pause, focus on our well-being, and prioritise our emotional health. As women, we often juggle multiple roles—family, work, and other commitments—and it’s easy to neglect our own needs. International Women’s Day encourages us to acknowledge that self-care and seeking support is crucial to living a fulfilling life.

In the counselling space, we understand that every woman’s journey is unique. Whether you’re facing personal challenges, work-related stress, or past trauma, seeking support is empowering. It can lead to personal growth, healing, and a renewed sense of self-worth. Women in the UK continue to face societal pressures, which can contribute to anxiety, depression, and feelings of inadequacy. But let’s celebrate the power of women supporting each other and the importance of mental health.

Counselling provides a safe, confidential space to work through these challenges and begin the process of personal growth. You don’t have to navigate this journey alone. On International Women’s Day, take the time to prioritise yourself and invest in your emotional well-being.

Happy International Women’s Day! Let’s celebrate the strength, resilience, and achievements of women everywhere.
